Since 2020, the JPY has been weaker against the NTD.

In August 2019 , NTD 1 = JPY 3.39 (the highest JPY in the past 5 years) was recorded.
After that, NTD 1 = JPY 4.61 (the lowest JPY in the past 25 years ) was recorded in October 2022.
The JPY continues to be weaker against the NTD, with NTD 1 = JPY 4.57 in June 2023.
Since 2020, the JPY has been weaker against the NTD.

Reportedly, the export volume from Taiwan has increased since 2020, and the PMI (Purchasing Manager's Index) of Taiwan's semiconductor industry has risen significantly compared to other countries.Due to the implementation of remote work and extensive digital transformation during the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for computers and other devices has increased, leading to the revitalization of Taiwan's economy and a stronger NTD.
Furthermore, the fact that interest rates have not been raised in Japan appears to be a major reason for the stronger NTD against the JPY.
The stronger NTD has further increased the willingness of Taiwanese people to make purchases, and some special features about Japanese properties have been aired in Taiwan.
